Privacy notice for the simulation

Who we are

Nobrainer Lab Ltd (RC 8921788), 12 Ham Kurah Saidu, Zone F, Road 3, Agaga-Epe Community, Aso Pada District, Mararaba, Nasarawa State, Nigeria, runs this simulation and decides what happens to your details. Contact details are added here before the simulation opens.

What we collect

If you claim a character: your WhatsApp number (from the message you send us) or your email address, the area you pick, your answers to the questions, which messages you agreed to and when, and when you confirmed you're 18 or over. If you share a link, we count how many times it's opened and how many people join from it, not who they are.

What we don't collect

Our website host sees your IP address to show you the page and to block abuse. We don't store it, and we use it once to guess where to start the map. Your character's home is a made-up point in the area you picked, never your real address. Your number and email never appear in the simulation.

Why

To run your character and confirm you're a real person (the count of real people is the point of the simulation). To send you the messages you ticked, and nothing else: updates when something happens to your character, and one message on the day the real thing launches. The confirmation is the only message we send without a tick. Our legal basis is your consent for the messages, and running the service you asked for for the rest (NDPA 2023, sections 25 and 26).

Who else handles it

Supabase (database), Vercel (website), Meta (WhatsApp messages), Resend (email). They process it for us only. Some of them store data outside Nigeria, with the safeguards the NDPA requires.

How long

We delete your number, email and everything linked to you 90 days after the simulation ends, and by 31 December 2027 at the latest. We keep only counts that can't identify anyone.

Your choices

Stop messages any time: reply STOP on WhatsApp or tap "Stop these" in any email. Delete everything: tap "Delete my details" in any message or on this page, or reply DELETE on WhatsApp. You can ask us for a copy of your details or to correct them at the contact above. You can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng).

Tracking

None. The site loads no advertising or analytics trackers, and nothing about your visit goes to an ad network.

Cookies and browser storage

Three small cookies, needed for the site to work and never used for ads: sim_s keeps you signed in, for 180 days; sim_p links a waiting page to its sign-up, for 15 minutes from the last code you asked for; sim_o counts a shared link's opens once per browser, for 30 days, and holds nothing about you. Your browser also keeps two notes that never leave it: sim_seen holds the day this browser was last counted as a visit (we count visits, not visitors); sim_reveal remembers that you closed the launch-day card.
